A New Chapter and a Surprise Surgery: Pete Davidson’s Girlfriend Elsie Hewitt Opens Up
The joys of new motherhood usually involve nesting, newborn cuddles, and maybe a little bit of much-needed sleep. But for model Elsie Hewitt, the 24 hours following the birth of her first child with comedian Pete Davidson took a decidedly un-glamorous turn.
Just days after welcoming their daughter, Scottie Rose, Hewitt revealed to fans that her journey from the delivery room didn’t lead straight to a nursery—it led to a dentist’s chair.
The Procedure No One Saw Coming
On Friday, December 19, the 29-year-old actress took to her Instagram Stories to share a candid, slightly sarcastic look at her post-partum reality. Posting a selfie with baby Scottie in the back of a car, Hewitt looked understandably exhausted as she dropped a bombshell about her recovery.
“Who else had to get a wisdom tooth removed directly from the hospital the day after they gave birth?” she wrote.
For most, the recovery from childbirth is more than enough to handle, but Hewitt’s "unexpected procedure" added a layer of dental pain to the mix. While she didn't specify if the tooth was an emergency or a long-standing issue that finally reached a breaking point, the timing was nothing short of chaotic.
A Long Road to Motherhood
This latest hurdle comes after what Hewitt has described as a “sheer torment” of a pregnancy. Throughout her journey, the model has been refreshingly honest about her struggles with Hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (hEDS) and endometriosis.
Earlier this year, she admitted she was in “absolute agony pretty much 24/7,” noting that the physical demands of carrying a child were amplified by her chronic conditions. At one point, Hewitt confessed she was so debilitated by pain that she could barely walk, making the successful arrival of baby Scottie on December 12, 2025, even more of a triumph.
Honoring a Legacy
Despite the dental drama, the couple is clearly "overflowing with love." Their daughter’s name, Scottie Rose Hewitt Davidson, is a touching tribute to Pete’s late father, Scott Davidson, a New York City firefighter who tragically passed away during the September 11 attacks.
Pete, 32, who has frequently spoken about his "dream" of becoming a father, seems to be settling into the role perfectly. He kept his social media commentary brief but classic, adding a simple “wu tang forever” to the birth announcement.
While Elsie might be nursing both a newborn and a sore jaw for the next few days, it’s clear that the couple is focused on their "perfect angel girl" and the quiet life they've built at their upstate New York retreat.
Here’s hoping for a much smoother—and surgery-free—road ahead for the new family.
