Live Updates: The Main Event
11:42 PM ET: It’s All Over! The Decision is In The judges have turned in their scorecards. In a fight that was much closer than the oddsmakers predicted, the winner by unanimous decision is... Anthony Joshua.
The heavyweight veteran’s jab and ring generalship ultimately stifled Paul's aggression. While Paul landed a few looping overhand rights that got the crowd on their feet, Joshua’s composure remained unshaken. Is this the end of the Jake Paul 'pro boxer' experiment, or just the beginning of a new chapter?
11:30 PM ET: Round 8 – The Final Bell. Both men are exhausted. Paul threw everything but the kitchen sink in the final thirty seconds, but Joshua caught him with a stiff counter-hook that halted his momentum. They embrace at the bell. Respect is earned in the ring, and Paul certainly earned a bit tonight.
11:18 PM ET: Round 5 – Joshua Taking Control Joshua is beginning to find his rhythm. He’s landing the jab with surgical precision, closing Paul’s left eye slightly. Paul is still dangerous, lunging in with power shots, but he’s beginning to look winded by the pace Joshua is setting.
11:05 PM ET: Round 1 – A Feeling Out Process A surprisingly technical start. Paul is staying low and targeting the body, while Joshua is keeping his distance, likely wary of the "YouTube power" that has slept previous opponents. The atmosphere in the stadium is deafening.
Undercard Results
- Amanda Serrano vs. Katie Taylor II: In what many are calling the Fight of the Year, Taylor retains her titles via a razor-thin split decision. The crowd is currently booing the result—this one will be debated for years.
- Neeraj Goyat def. Whindersson Nunes: A dominant points victory for Goyat, who showed superior ring craftsmanship throughout the six rounds.
The Atmosphere in Arlington
The celebrity presence is off the charts tonight. From NFL legends to Hollywood A-listers, the front row is a "who's who" of the entertainment world. Netflix’s first major foray into live combat sports has not been without its technical hiccups, but the scale of the production is unlike anything we’ve seen in traditional PPV boxing.
What’s Next for the Winner?
If Joshua moves forward, a clash with the winner of the Usyk vs. Fury rematch seems like the only logical step. For Jake Paul, the loss doesn't necessarily hurt his "brand." He went the distance with a man who once held three of the four major belts. The real question is: who is left for Paul to fight that will generate this much noise?
Stay tuned as we bring you post-fight quotes and the full breakdown of the scorecards.
